| All of the pictures on this page are from the first mural I ever painted and are located in a family restaurant in Benton, Kentucky. |
| All of the portraits in this mural are a surprise to me! Originally the owners wished to portray the dedications of individuals as caricatures/cartoon funnies. Then the owner decided we should use actual portraits of the people instead. I had never painted a portrait in my life! These were my first attempts. My relief came when customers at a nearby table said... "Oh look... She's painting Dr. Schaper now!" Since his name was not on the mural or the building he was associated with... I knew it was going to be alright and at least the portraits were recognizable! |
